In our quest for lace, we have combed the estate sales, auctions, even the marché aux Antique laces, trims for heirloom sewingpuces (flea market) in Paris to bring these treasures back to Nashville and to you. Whether you need Valenciennes lace to trim an heirloom dress for a favorite little girl or tiny lace to put on an authentic frock for an antique doll, we think you'll find something among our laces that you'll like.

Please note: lace, heirloom sewing Because many of our laces are antique, only a set amount is available. These laces are priced by the piece, ie., 2½ yards, $5. But we do have lace yardage available for a number of our selections, and these laces are priced by yard, foot or inch; ie., $3/yard. All of our laces range in color from ivory to ecru; the few pure white laces are marked as such. And we do offer a selection of pastel laces, and black and navy laces.

Corticelli embroidery book Don't miss our collection of vintage books on fancywork, such as the book pictured at left for creating the old-fashioned layette. Our bookshelf includes much of the DMC series on needlework by Therese de Dillmont, dating back to the early 20th century, plus a nice selection of old Coats & Clark embroidery books and more. The old styles in these books are exquisite, and owning one of them unlocks these skills for you to recreate.
