Couture for Bleuette
We have recently acquired a large collection of original Bleuette patterns and can't wait to hear from you what you need for costuming your Bleuette doll. A couple of styles we have created for clients are pictured here, with more to come. At left is a dropped waist number done in a vintage reproduction child's print. At right is a '40s style dress created from an old hankie.





At left is a Bleuette frock we recently sold on eBay. It is the Simplette style from 1916-1917 (pictured at right). It is pink Swiss batiste trimmed with robin's egg blue ribbon, antique lace and old ribbon rosettes.

The style is called Sauterie, inspired by the model at right from the summer 1936 Gautier Langereau catalog. The bodice was cut from the center of the handkerchief, while the ruffles are from the edges of the hankie. It is trimmed with a tiny vintage white lace with tiny robin's egg blue dots. (We love that shade of blue!) The sash is an old rayon ribbon, which we also used for the hair bow.
