Custom-made couture for your doll

Let us create your doll's custom finery. We have several heirloom smocked styles as well as a number of dresses and other apparel for the popular 18" dolls such as American Girl (and the mini American Girls too). And our doll couturier is now creating Bleuette fashions from the original patterns in the old French girls' magazine, La Semaine de Suzette. If you don't see what you want, just e-mail and ask. We can make just about any clothing style your doll desires.

Before you place payment for your order from Demoiselle: Please drop us an e-mail (demoisellemail@yahoo.com) or call Terry (615.305.5062) to make sure that what you want is in stock, especially if you need a certain quantity of lace or trim. Also, we are happy to take Paypal payment, where our e-mail address is la_dentelliere@yahoo.com, or a personal check drawn on U.S. funds or a money order to the order of Terry Quillen (not to Demoiselle, please).

antique reproduction dolls, dollmaking Couture for Bleuette
We have recently acquired a large collection of original Bleuette patterns and can't wait to hear from you what you need for costuming your Bleuette doll. A couple of styles we have created for clients are pictured here, with more to come. At left is a dropped waist number done in a vintage reproduction child's print. At right is a '40s style dress created from an old hankie.

antique reproduction dolls, dollmaking At left is a Bleuette frock we recently sold on eBay. It is the Simplette style from 1916-1917 (pictured at right). It is pink Swiss batiste trimmed with robin's egg blue ribbon, antique lace and old ribbon rosettes.

The style is called Sauterie, inspired by the model at right from the summer 1936 Gautier Langereau catalog. The bodice was cut from the center of the handkerchief, while the ruffles are from the edges of the hankie. It is trimmed with a tiny vintage white lace with tiny robin's egg blue dots. (We love that shade of blue!) The sash is an old rayon ribbon, which we also used for the hair bow.
